Anna Merriweather

Anna U. Merriweather, age 65 of Paducah, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, 2:27 a.m. at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

Anna was of the Baptist faith. She received a nursing degree from Paducah Community College and retired from Superior Nursing Home as a CNA.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Merriweather; one daughter, Nasha Hollowell, her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Anna “Cookie” Wilson Beasley; her stepfather who raised her, Horace “Billy” Beasley.

She is survived by one son, Barry (Valarie Johnson) Wilson of Paducah; three grandchildren; Aaron Hollowell Jr., Anna Hollowell both of Paducah and Ashleigh Hollowell of Nashville, TN; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; Regina Deboe and Vivian (Jerome) Kelley both of Paducah; one brother, Larry (Susie) Dawson of Jackson, TN; two aunts; Gilda (Hildrey) Johnson of Paducah and Judy Ann (Earl) Coleman of Princeton, KY;  several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin Michelle (Wayne) Holland of Paducah.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Alfred Anderson and Rev. Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
