Avery Nell Sanders, 94, passed away at her home in Madisonville surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, January 6, 2018.
She was born on March 25, 1923 in Hickory, KY to the late, James Edward McLeod and Taylor Mae McLeod. Avery enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and loved helping others.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her beloved, Fran Quackenbush of Madisonville; daughters, Nancy McElwain and husband, Michael of Madisonville and Glenda Trout and husband, Danny of Herrin, IL; son, Jimmy Sanders and wife, Joyce of Indianapolis, IN; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
A private Celebration of Life will be held. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
