Barbara McGowan

October 10, 1941 — October 15, 2016

Barbara Elaine Clark McGowen, age 75, of Lovelaceville, peacefully went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 15th, 2016.

She was a member of Lovelaceville Missionary Baptist Church and worked as a beautician at JC Penny's Salon and A Beautiful You. Barbara was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and Nana.

Barbara McGowen is survived by three daughters, Paula and Jimmy Ross of Kevil, Joy Skidmore of Paducah and Wendy and Bo Skidmore of Nashville and one son, Steven Brad McGowen of Kevil. She is survived by a two brothers, Glynn Clark of Louisville and his wife Virginia and Garry Dale Clark and his wife Janis of Paducah and five grandchildren; Megan Kinsey (Chip) of Kevil, Michael Skidmore (Sarah) of Paducah, Steven McGowen of Kevil, Kolby and Madison Skidmore of Nashville and four great-grandchildren; Jack and Andrew Kinsey and Hudson and Heath Skidmore.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Paul S. "Pud" McGowen and her parents Royce and Glynna Gupton Clark and a sister Jan Crider.

Visitation for Barbara McGowen will be at 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00 am at Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jerrod Hayes officiating and burial at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lovelaceville Missionary Baptist Church, 253 Broadway St., Kevil, KY 42053.

A special thanks to Nancy Stahl Howle and Dorothy Watters whose generosity and kindness throughout these last months will never be forgotten.
