Barbara Poindexter

Barbara Ann Poindexter, age 73 of Mayfield, previously of Livingston County, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the Christian Care Center of Kuttawa.

Barbara was born on April 9, 1946 to the late Edwin and Burnice Watkins. She was a member of the Ledbetter Church of Christ. Barbara worked as a Department Manager at the Southside Walmart in Paducah, but her favorite job was being home, raising her children. She was a good Christian woman and a strong leader for her family. She cared for every member of her family in a selfless and caring way. She also loved to shop, especially on the QVC channel.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kim Jones and husband, Tom of Benton; one son, Jeff Poindexter and spouse, Kim of Paducah; two sisters, Mary Galloway of Paducah and Carolyn Story of Clarksville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Michael Poindexter, Laura Poindexter, Channing Jones, Dakota Rounds and Jessica Fike; three great-grandchildren, Drake Rounds, Brooklyn Fike and Ayden Fike.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Don Poindexter; two brothers, Donald Randall and Leland Watkins, and her parents.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
