Barry Neal Doherty, 53, of Paducah, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his residence.
Barry was born in Okinawa, Japan on March 30, 1963 to the late Neal and Patricia "Pat" Ayers Doherty. He was a graduate of Heath High School and Murray State University. Barry retired as the general manager of Chip Wynn Motors in Paducah Chip Wynn Chevrolet in Vienna, IL. and was the owner of West End Motors in Paducah. An avid sports fan, Barry followed St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Cardinals and University of Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Bryan Doherty; siblings, Jana White and husband J.D. of Paducah, Stacie Walton of West Paducah, and Jennifer Williamson and husband Bobby of Franklin, TN; nieces and nephews, Blake Walton, Rex Walton, Neal Millay (fiancé' Tailae), Parker Williamson, Joshua McNichols, and McKenzie Williamson; aunt, Gail Shepherd of Paducah; uncle, Jim (Connie) Ayers of Clarksville, TN, mother-in-law, Virginia Bryan of Paducah; sister-in-law, Kathy (Keith) McNichols of West Paducah.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Lance Walton; father-in-law, Billy Bryan; uncle, Robert Shepherd; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Joel Jackson and Chip Wynn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
The family requests donations in memory of Barry be made to American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003.
