Bennie Burgess

Bennie Dwayne Burgess, 82, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 8:20 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Superior Care Home. He was born in McCracken County, Kentucky. Dwayne was a retired Roofer and a member of the Roofers Local Union 106. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Dwayne is survived by his wife, Clara Canady Burgess of Paducah, KY; daughter, Charlotte Ann Ellegood and husband Larry of Paducah, KY; son, Jim Farmer and wife Ann of Paducah, KY; sister, Peggy Hall of Paducah, KY; Grandchildren, Laurie Heck and husband Norman of New Palestine, IN, Joey Farmer of Louisville, KY and Melissa Johnson of Nashville, TN; six great grandchildren including Colin Heck of New Palestine, IN.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Burgess; daughter, Malinda Burgess; son, Randall Wayne Burgess; step-father John Bell. His parents were Clayton E. Burgess and Evelyn Collie Bell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Todd Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

The family would like to thank the staff of Superior Care home for their excellent care and support that they gave to Dwayne and the family during their time at Superior.
