Benny Lloyd Campbell, 82, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, died Tuesday night
at Summit Hospital in Nashville. He was a member of Victory Baptist
Church in Mount Juliet and proudly served in the United States Air Force
during the Korean War. He graduated from Heath High School with the
class of 1949 and retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in
1993. He was one of the first employees hired when the Goodyear plant
opened in Union City, Tennessee.
His parents were the late Maggie Gordon Born and Murel Campbell. He is
survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Martha Robinson Campbell,
with whom he shared a wonderful marriage. He is also survived by a son,
Wayne Campbell, and his wife, Pam Campbell, of Mount Juliet; and two
grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Eli Campbell of Knoxville,
Tennessee, and Claire Campbell of Houston, Texas.
Services will be at 1:00PM Saturday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home on
Highway 62 West in Paducah, Kentucky, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery
in Paducah. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00PM Friday evening and from
11:00AM to 1:00PM Saturday at the funeral home.
