Bertha Gardner, 95, of Folsomdale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, with family and dear friends at her side.
Bertha was born in Carlisle County, KY on July 5, 1924 to the late Buren and Leah Pease Gardner. Bertha devoted much of her life to caring for her parents and siblings. She was the proprietor of Gardner Farms in Folsomdale. She was a life-long member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by her great nephews, Kevin McGary of Folsomdale, Kent McGary of Nashville, TN and Bruce (Ersela) McGary of Cincinnati, OH; and two great-great nephews Alex (Kate) McGary of Columbus, OH and Chase McGary of Cincinnati, OH; and her nephews’ spouses, Wanda McGary of Paducah and Jeannette McGary of Mayfield.
Preceding her in death were her dearest sisters, Reba and Onie Gardner; brothers, Eldon Gardner and his wife Emma Belle, and Horace Gardner and his wife Ozetta; and nephews, James McGary and Leon McGary.
A graveside service will be held at11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 15, 2020, in the Chapel at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bill Lowe, Bill Gardner, Billy Joe Pease, Dennis Kerr, Danny Hart, and Mike Coles.
