Beryl Hurt, 82, of Paducah died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008.
Mr. Hurt, a native of Metropolis, Ill., was an area automobile dealer for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah.
Mr. Hurt is survived by his wife of 59, Delora Hurt; a son, Dan Hurt, and a daughter, Dena Hurt, both of Paducah; two grandchildren, Shannon (Jonathan) Stewart and Jason (Carrie) Hurt, both of Jackson, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Hurt and Carlee Hayse Stewart, both of Jackson, Tenn.; and a brother, Billy Hurt of Dupo, Ill.
Mr. Hurt was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Hurt and Orpha Baynes Hurt; two brothers, Rev. Charles Hurt and Alfred Hurt; and one sister, Louise Wilcox.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lone Oak chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at noon at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Todd Brady officiating.
