Betty Jean Eidson Hunt, age 90, of Paducah, died at 2:20 p.m. at home on Friday, December 28, 2018.
Mrs. Hunt, a life-long Christian, was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Raised in Melber, she graduated from Melber High School and attended Paducah Community College and Draughon’s Business College. Mrs. Hunt worked as an assistant for several local businesses and served as church secretary at Lone Oak First Baptist Church. She completed her career at Union Carbide and Martin Marietta, retiring in 1991.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hunt Collier (Phil) of Louisville; her son, James Hunt of Grand Rivers; a grandson, Thomas Hunt Collier (Holly) of Chicago, a granddaughter, Carol Harston (Drew) of Louisville; four great-grandsons, James, Collier, and Walter Harston of Louisville, and Charles Henry Collier of Chicago; and a niece, Carol Bell (Robert) of Paducah.
Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her parents, James Dalton and Linnie Cruse Eidson; her husband of 68 years, Roger F. Hunt; her brothers, Dalton Elwood Eidson and Terry Donald Eidson and her sister, Maxine Pendergrass.
Services for Mrs. Hunt will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home with Revs. Bob Martin and Carol Harston officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
