Betty Lawrence

Betty Lawrence, 81, of Boaz, KY died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 2:35 p.m. at her residence. Betty was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and taught children's Sunday School for many years. She was a graduate of Reidland High School. Betty was an avid reader and loved her books. She retired from the Ophthalmology Group where she worked for many years.

Survivors include husband of 62 years, Wallace 'Wally" Lawrence; two sons, Jeff Lawrence and wife Traci of Mayfield, KY, Mark Lawrence and wife Stacey of Paducah, KY; five grandchildren, Kates Haynes Carrell and husband Sean Carrell, Bryce Lawrence, Holden Berg, Josie Lavey and Leighton Lavey; one great- grandchild, Corbin Carrell.

Preceding in death was her parents, Charles Chester and Ethel Sams Chester, one grand- child, Corey Sykes.

Services will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Willis Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Miler & Orr Funeral Home.
