Betty Powell, 84 of Paducah, KY passed away at 6:50 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2018 at Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center. Betty was a member of West End Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed skating, walking, camping and keeping her grandchildren. Betty enjoyed many trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila May (Gary Mason); two sons, Greg Powell and wife, Deena of Lone Oak, KY and Alan Powell of Hendron, KY; five grandchildren, Lindsey (Brad) Faith, Brian (Brittany) May, Dax (Ashley) Powell, Chris Powell and Halie (Justin) Cotton; seven great-grandchildren, Kamden Faith, Lennon Faith, Rylan Powell, Drake May, Drew May, Rayne Powell and Lane Hagley.
Preceding death were husband, George H. Powell; parents, Headley Stroud & Lula May Sharp Stroud; one brother, Richard Stroud.
Services will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Tom Emerson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10:00 am until service time of 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
