Bill Pryor, age 89, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Jackson Oaks.
Bill was born in Melber, Kentucky on April 5, 1934 to the late Gideon Sr. and Eva Nall Pryor. Bill was a retired pipefitter working out of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 184 in Paducah. He was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ. From playing basketball in high school at Melber, Bill developed a love for the game and was a huge fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats and enjoyed watching March Madness. He will be missed by his family, friends and caregivers.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Wesley Pryor (Kaye) and Johnny Pryor both of Nashville, Tennessee, and their mother, Helen Pryor of Paducah, Kentucky; one brother, Kenny Pryor (Donna) of Melber, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Chelsea Cunningham (Jason) and Dale Pryor, both of Paducah; one great grandchild, Halle Grace Pryor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Pryor; three sisters, Berlene Pryor, Ella Mae Pryor, and Olala Pryor; five brothers, Thomas Jackson “TJ” Pryor, Boone Irvin Pryor, Gideon Pryor Jr., Marvin Otey Prior, and James Albert Pryor; and his parents.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum chapel with Paul Wingfield officiating.
