Carl was born in Clinton, KY on December 25, 1957. He was a longtime member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church where he served on the building committee. He was also a member of Gideons International. Carl was the Past Master of Bardwell Masonic Lodge #499, current member of Paducah Masonic Lodge #127, Shriner's Rizpah Temple in Madisonville.
Since 1998, Carl was broker/owner and realtor at Century 21 Service Realty. He was a member and past President (2008) of the Paducah Board of Realtors where he served on numerous committees. He received Realtor of the Year in 2008 and was awarded the Joe C. Marshall Distinguished Service Award in 2015 for his many contributions to the Paducah Board of Realtors. He was a member of Kentucky Association of Realtors for eight years. Carl received his GRI designation, served as a KAR Director at Large (2009-present), was a graduate of Leadership KAR, and received Kentucky Distinguished Service Awards in 2010-11.
Surviving are his wife 29 ½ years, Jennifer Wilcox Adams; he was a loving and devoted father to his sons, Jacob Miles Adams of Boston, MA, and Jordan Thomas Adams of Nashville, TN; mother, Dorothy Louise Stockwell Adams Horman of Arlington, KY; sisters, Vikki Crider of Murray, KY and Susan Hickman of LaCenter, KY; and brother, Gary Adams of Little Rock, AR and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, Grady Miles Quincy Adams; and a brother, Charles Adams.
Funeral services will held at 11am Friday at Lone Oak First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Garden. Visitation will be held Thursday evening after 4 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. A Masonic service will begin at 7:30pm Thursday evening. Visitation will resume at the church after 9am Friday.
