Carol Lee (Brooks) Aldred, 70, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on November 9, 1947 to L.C. Brooks and Lucille (Ramage) Brooks.
Carol was born in Lyon County, Kentucky and was a graduate of Reidland High School in Paducah, Kentucky. After retiring from United Parcel Service, Carol returned to Kentucky from Indianapolis where she had lived and worked all of her adult life. Carol loved being on the water and Kentucky Lake in particular, from water-skiing in high school to summertime cruises in her later years. Carol was also a true college basketball fan with NCAA March Madness being one of her favorite times of the year.
She is survived by one son, Andrew Aldred (Christine Miller) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one daughter, Allison (Mark) Bannister of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren, Shay Chaney, Taylor Aldred and Katie Aldred; one sister, Sharon (Russell) Earles of Paducah; nephew Mark (Lisa) Earles and great-nephew Tyler Earles of Nashville, Tennessee, and many dear friends and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Zachary Aldred.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Ison officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will take place on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
