Carolyn Sue Duncan

Carolyn Sue Duncan, age 83, of Cunningham, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at her residence.


Sue was born in Lovelaceville on January 19, 1940 to Robert A. and Euva Katherine Moyers McGowan. She loved to shop and find great bargains.  Collecting antiques, trinkets and unusual items was something she found joy in. Sue also loved being outdoors.  From gardening to bird watching, as long as she was outside, she was happy.  She especially loved mowing on her riding mower that no one was able to start but her.  Her greatest joy in life came from her family.  Sue loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ.


Sue is survived by two daughters, Penny Humphrey (Gary) of Cunningham, Tina Tisdal (Wayne) of Kevil; one son, Troy Duncan (Stephanie) of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Robbie Upshaw of Paducah; six grandchildren, Erica Bryan (Josh), Shelby Austin (Larry), Andrea Humphrey, Taylor Anderson (Kyle), Jordan Duncan, Olivia Duncan; six great-grandchildren, Mckena, Colton, Tre, Luca, Ellery and Owen.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Tommie Biggs Duncan; one sister, Dorothy Watters; two brothers, Gene McGowan, Paul “Pud” McGowan and her parents.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
