Charles Corder, 89, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Charles was born in Paducah on October 12, 1929 to Jesse and Audie Corder. He retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and had served as the Secretary/Treasuer of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen and as Chairman of Railway Carmen Local Union #291. He was a model railroad enthusiast and a skilled woodworker who was known to bless others with his talent.
Mr. Corder is survived by his daughters, Gail Crabtree (Dale), of Kevil, Kentucky and Cathey Wren (Rick), of Paducah; his grandchildren, Brad O’Brien, Mary Beth Crabtree, Jennifer Burnham, Ryan Wren, Cody Brown; his eight great grandchildren.
Mr. Corder was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn “Red” Mitchell Corder; his daughter, Donna Brown; his parents, Jesse Earl Corder and Audie Clark Corder; his brothers, Bobby Earl Corder, Billy Don Corder.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dale Crabtree officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes.
