Charles D. "Jaybird" Hobbs, 67, of Paducah, passed away at 6:30 am on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Baptist Health of Paducah.
Mr. Hobbs was a retired Operator for the City of Paducah, a veteran of the Army during the Vietnam War and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one son, Michael Creech of Paducah; one daughter, Jennifer McGregor and husband Chad of Burna; four brothers all of Paducah, George Hobbs and wife Velda, Jamie Hobbs and wife Pat, R.D. Hobbs and wife Mary, Marvin Hobbs and wife Tammy; one sister, Bootie Whitson and husband Don of Port Saint Lucie, FL; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Creech Hobbs; parents, George Damon Hobbs and Beulah Bettie (Hardin) Hobbs; two sisters, Marie McManus, Nellie Dawes; one brother, Hoppie Hobbs.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Dr. Brad Henson officiating. Burial will Military Honors will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
