Charles Edwin Wyatt , 82 years old, of the Folsomdale community, died at Lourdes Hospital, Paducah, KY, on Monday, October 27th at 5:03 pm.
Mr. Wyatt was married to Kathaleen Henson Wyatt for almost 64 happy years.
Born on January 11, 1932, in Graves County, Kentucky, to Clifton and Lou Eva Wyatt, he graduated from Lowes High School, where he played basketball. He attended Paducah Community College and received a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Aluma-Kraft, Paducah, KY as an Accountant and Office Manager.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Clerk/Treasurer for many years.
He played Basketball for the Kentucky Pioneer Team, which he enjoyed very much, then played in various tournaments in different states. He was a great fan of the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball team and University of Kentucky Basketball.
He was a proud father of Greg (Kim) Wyatt of Union City, TN and Bruce (Renee) Wyatt of the Folsomdale Community. He enjoyed his grandchildren, Jessica Rust of Pryorsburg, Valerie (Jeremy) Nimmo, of Lowes, Jacob (Lindsey) Wyatt, of Farmington , and Jamie Wyatt of the Folsomdale Community. His great-grandchildren were Chase and Steven Nimmo, Abbagail and Chloe Rust, and Micah and Gaige Wyatt.
In addition to his wife, children, grand children and great grand children, he is survived by a brother, Dalton Wyatt, of Cape Girardeau, MO; sisters: Joanne (Thomas) Adams of Outer Banks, NC and Martha Faye (Johnny) Hassall of Possom Trot, KY.
Preceding him in death were his Parents, Clifton and Lou Eva Wyatt and sister-in-law, Maretta Wyatt.
Funeral services for Mr. Wyatt will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Byrn Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Wyatt, Edward Wyatt, Mark Wyatt, Ian Jameson, Jeremy Nimmo, David Litchenburg, Tony Thorpe and Mike Cartwright. Honorary pallbearers will be the Pioneer Sunday School Class of Liberty Baptist Church and Kentucky Pioneer Basketball team.
Visitation will be from 5-9 pm ,Wednesday, October 29th at the funeral home.
