Cheryl Y. Clark Wall, age 67, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, 4:28 a.m., at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.
Cheryl, a 1973 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, was an active member of St. James CME Church in Paducah where she served as a trustee for the Mildred Senter Missionary Society, previously participated in the choir ministry and served as the church treasurer. She was formerly employed as a teller/communicator for People’s Bank for six years.
Her artistic talents, love of decorating, and working with crafts led to creating beautiful wreaths for family and friends. She was a good listener who was deeply devoted to her family and constantly nurtured them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph (Joe) Clark and Mary Bryson Clark along with several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Wall of Metropolis, IL; one son, Dante (Connie)Thomas of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Tanika Wall of Lexington, KY; one sister, Cynthia (Ronnie) Alston of Paducah; one grandson, Donovan Thomas of Raleigh, NC; two nieces, Melissa (Meryl) Newton of Frisco, TX and Michelle Thompson of Killean, TX; one nephew, Andre (Donna) Bennett of Paducah; three uncles, Donald Clark of West Pueblo, CO, Randy (Diana) Bryson of Waco, TX, and James Bryson of Loraine, OH; four aunts, Theresa Patton of Napa Valley, CA, Peggy Bryson of Dayton, OH, Beatrice Simpson of Elyria, OH and Evelyn Clark of GA; three sisters-in-law, Rozela Teague of Paducah, Audrey (Earl) Biles of West Paducah and June Jackson of Aurora, IL; one brother-in-law, Lawrence (Carrye) Webb of Murray, KY; special friends Patricia Holland and LaTonya Rochelle, and several cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 22, 2022, 12:00 noon at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church with Minister Shea Turnley of Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah and Rev. Ronnie Woods of St. Paul AME Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
