Clovis Crowe

Clovis Courtney Crowe, 75, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 9:40 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at his home.

Courtney was born in Columbia, TN on November, 26, 1941 to Clovis and Nina Crowe. He was a longtime member of Broadway Church of Christ, where he taught high school and jr. high school classes for many years. Most of his working years were spent in retail management, notably at Finkels, Elder-Beerman and Dillard's. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed family vacations, road trips to the beach and many sports, especially UK Basketball. His kindness, gentleness, smiling face and appreciation for the beauty of nature, will be greatly missed.

Mr. Crowe is survived by his High School sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Jeanette Dickinson Crowe; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Crowe Thompson and husband Robert, of Murray, KY; his son, Clark Brandon Crowe and wife Beth, of Metropolis, IL; his brother, Barry Lee Crowe and wife Sally, of Paducah; his grandchildren, Allison Crowe Dublin (Jordyn), Brandon Wetherington Crowe (Kaitlyn), Adam Corey Thompson (Ari), Alayna Courtney Thompson (fiancé- Paul Peters), Avery Ragan Thompson; his great granddaughters, Felicity Quinn Crowe and soon to be born, Olivia Elizabeth Dublin.

Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis Courtney Crowe, Sr. and Nina Faye Lewis Crowe.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah, with Dr. Dan Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
