Connie Neal Jr. of Paducah, 83, died at 7:08 a.m. Sunday at his home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He graduated from Montgomery High School in Lexington, Tenn. Mr. Neal was employed with Tennessee Valley Authority and retired as a foreman after 35 years of service. He was a member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, building fund chairman and was a member of the male chorus.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. His parents were Emerson Neal and Raymel Willis Neal.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ruby Harris Neal; two daughters, Sandra Neal and Myra Neal Henderson, both of Paducah; one grandson, Maxwell Theodore Neal Henderson of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah. The Revs. Edward Ballard and Sherrard Blanden will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from noon until the funeral hour Wednesday at the church.
