Danny S. Thompson, 67, of Paducah, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 12:30 a.m. at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Danny was a member of Central Church of Christ and was a member of the 1965 graduating class of Symsonia High School. He retired from Davis Food Giant where he was a stock clerk. Danny enjoyed working in the yard when his health would allow. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan as well as St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. He loved and enjoyed his "Grand Dogs" as he would refer to them.
Surviving are his wife of forty-one years, Joyce Saltzgiver Thompson; two sons, Daryl Thompson and his wife Deb, Timothy Thompson and his wife Brittany, all of Paducah; four grandchildren, Matthew Thompson, Andrew Castleberry, Skyler Thompson and Savana Thompson; sister-in-law, Carolyn Thompson of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were parents, Guy and Lena Starks Thompson; and one brother, James Thompson.
Services will be held Friday, November 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Jim Faughn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday, November 14, 2013, after 5 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
