Darwin L. Reed, 80, of Paducah, passed away at 6:05 am Wednesday July 2, 2014 at Baptist Health of Paducah.
Mr. Reed was born in Symsonia, KY on December 11, 1933 to the late Monroe Jack Reed and Cora Louise Koerner Reed. He was a retired operator/maintenance man for Pennwalt Corporation, a member of Heartland Worship Center, a member of the American Legion, a skilled wood worker artisan, and a member of singles of Paducah. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include one sister, Davida Hill and husband Frankie of Calvert City; one niece; Debra Croley and husband Pat of Benton; two nephews, Kerry Hill and wife Lara of symsonia, and Mark Hill and wife Teresa of Benton,; eight great nieces and nephews; one great great niece and two great great nephews; and one aunt, Melva Petway of Benton.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Monroe Jack Reed and Cora Louise Koerner Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday July 5, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. John Wooley will officiate. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will take place from 11:00am to 1:00pm Saturday July 5, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
