David Duane Brickeen, 47, of Hickory, KY, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital.
David was born in Mayfield, KY on March 22, 1969 to Bud and Nancy Brickeen. He played football while attending Mayfield High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at the University of Kentucky. He worked as a project manager for BWXT Conversion Services. He was an excellent cook and a big University of Kentucky basketball and football fan. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mayfield, and loved his Bassett Hound, Federer.
David is survived by his daughter, Ilyssa Croft and husband Taylor, of Paducah, KY; his sons, Jantzen Brickeen and Xavier Brickeen, both of Hickory, KY; his parents, William Duane Brickeen and Nancy Summerville Brickeen, of Knoxville, TN; his sister, Cindy Bruce and husband Greg, of Lawrenceville, GA; his grandchildren, Lincoln and Hawkins Croft; and two nieces.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home, with Rev. Wes Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the Lone Oak Chapel on Monday, from 12:00-2:00 pm.
