David Styers

David W. Styers, 47, of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Lourdes hospital.
He was a native of Paducah and attended Oaks Church of God. David worked as a Pool and Spa Installer for his father's business, Lee's Pools, and was a Tanker man on the riverboat. David was an avid NASCAR enthusiast.
He is survived by his stepson, Jacob Barr of Paducah; his mother, Glenda Styers of Paducah; his father and stepmother, Lee and Sheila Styers of Paducah; his grandmother, Pearl Davidson of Paducah; his stepgrandmother, Cassie Styers of Reidland, Ky.; sister, Lisa O'Brien of Paducah; stepsister, Carrie Edwards of Paducah; nephews, Eric O'Brien of Texas and Scott O'Brien of Lexington, Ky.; aunts, Judy Ladd of Paducah, Mary Stewart of Lexington, Jeanette Smith of Joplin, Mo., Aline Fields of Benton, Ky., Jean Hartman of Paducah and Julie Shelby of Paducah; uncle, Tom Styers of Reidland; and several cousins.
David was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Davidson; grandparents, Boone and Marie Styers; and uncles, Charles Styers, Vade Styers and Henry Styers.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
