Delora Hurt

Delora Dean Hurt went home at 6:50 a.m. on Sunday, November, 9, 2014 at her residence. She was 86 years young. Born as Delora R. Dean in Brookport, IL on June 12, 1928.
Delora was a member of First Baptist Church Paducah where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a Wife, Mother and Grandmamma while also being a Patrol Lady, Cub Scout Den Mother and Homeroom Mother. She was also a Caregiver-Sitter for many years.
Delora is survived by her son, Dan Hurt and daughter, Dena Hurt both of Paducah. Also survived by her grandson, Jason (Carrie) Hurt of Milan, TN and her granddaughter, Shannon (Jonathan) Stewart of Jackson, TN. She leaves behind six Great Granddaughters, Caroline and Lynnley Hurt of Milan, TN, Sammie, Carlee Hayse, Stella and Addie Stewart all of Jackson, TN.
A special angel the last part of Delora's Journey was Dr. Lee Tolar Meals.
Delora was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Beryl Hurt.
A graveside service led by Jason Hurt, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
