Dona Gore

Joint funeral services for Dona M. and William Randolph "Bill" Gore and her sister, Ruth W. Wyatt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Paducah. Dr. Dan Summerlin, Jamie Boone and the Rev. Justin Wainscott will officiate. Graveside services for Dona and Bill Gore will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Dona M. Wood Gore was born October 7, 1928 in Joppa, Ill., to the late Fred Wood and Sadie Parrish Halstenberg. She and her husband, Bill, were co-owners of Gore's IGA. She was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church, Highland Homes Homemakers and Jonquilawn Garden Club. She and Bill traveled extensively after their retirement.
Dona loved and was very dedicated to her family. She is survived by her son, Randy and his wife, Marlena of Hickory, Ky., and two granddaughters, Ellie Gore of Paducah and Haley Gore of Hickory.
Preceding her in death were her husband, William Randolph "Bill" Gore; two sisters, Ruth W. Wyatt and Harriett Johnson; father, Fred Wood; mother, Sadie Parrish Halstenberg; and stepfather, Fred Halstenberg.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 9 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Paducah. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
