Dorotha Shepherd

February 24, 1929 — May 9, 2017

Dorotha G. Shepherd, 88, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Carlisle County, Kentucky. Dorotha worked at CTS/Magnavox, Western Baptist Hospital and Quality Stamps. She was a member of Heartland Worship Center and Western Baptist Hospital Auxillary.

Dorotha is survived by her sons, Marshall "Hank" Lee Shepherd and wife Janet Brown Shepherd, Michael Gene Shepherd and wife Nancy Kay Shepherd all of Paducah, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Belinda Gail Shepherd of Paducah, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Michael T. Shepherd, Melissa Lynn Ditty and husband Cameron, Steven A. Shepherd and Kim E. Watson and husband Chad; seven great grandchildren, Ella Brown Terry, Daphne Ditty, Linus Ditty, Millie Ditty, Braxton Watson, Benton Watson and Beckham Watson; sisters, Freda Larimer of Calvert City, Kentucky and Melinda Moran; brothers, Dick Mays, Bill Mays and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Shepherd; son, Robert Glyn Shepherd. Her parents were Coy Mays and Mary Pennebaker Mays Boswell.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Nathan Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Heartland Worship Center, 4777 Alben Barkley Drive, Paducah, Kentucky 42001.
