Graveside services for Dr. Edwin T. Davis, 80, of Paducah will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Dr. Davis died at 4:40 a.m. Sunday at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.
He was a member of United Central Presbyterian Church, McCracken County Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Association, and American Medical Association. He was associated with Kentucky Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Pediatrics. He was a 1956 graduate of St. Louis University Medical School and did post graduate training at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital. He started his practice in Paducah in September 1959 and retired after 40 years. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a U.S. Army Veteran (Financial Affairs) of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Edwin Davis, and wife Patrice, of Georgetown, and Michael A. Davis, and wife Elizabeth, of Louisville; two daughters, Kathryn Davis, of Memphis, Tenn., and Karen E. Edgar, and husband John, of Braidwood, Ill.; and four grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia E. Sanders Davis; and one son, Michael Edwin Davis. His parents were Theron and Ruby Wilma Kaler Davis.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Roth Funeral Chapel in Paducah.
