Emma Cathey

Emma Louise Cathey, 87, of Paducah, KY past away at 12:50 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah. Emma was a 75 year member and oldest member of Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and cooking for her family. Emma was a 1946 graduate of Lone Oak High School.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Chester Cathey of Paducah, KY; daughters, Karen Bryan and husband Mike of Paducah, KY and Lisa Parker and husband Jeff of Paducah, KY; son, William Lee Cathey of Paducah, KY; 7 grandchildren, Trevor Cathey, Jason Howell, Ashlee Bryan, Kyle Cooper, Brandon Cooper, Tyler Parker and Tanner Parker; 6 great grandchildren, Lane Howell, Kaleigh Howell, Logan Cooper, Miles Cooper, Emma grace Cooper, Presley Annmarie Parker and several nieces and nephews.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Lee Duncan and Mary Elizabeth Shaffer Duncan and one brother, James E. Duncan.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Johnny Sams officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

The family would like to thank all the special caregivers at Parkview for all their care and love that they gave to Mrs. Cathey and all the family during her illness.
