Jean Baldree Taylor, 90 of Greensboro, NC and formerly of Lone Oak, KY died 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Carriage House Assisted Living in Greensboro, NC. Jean was a long time member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church where she sang in the adult choir for many years. She became a member of the Notes of Joy Choir and served in the church nursery for forty years. Jean was a native of Melber, KY and a graduate of Melber High School. Jean retired from McCracken County schools where she worked in food service at Lone Oak Elementary, Middle and High Schools.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri Taylor (Douglas) Vancil, Greensboro, NC; one sister, Carolyn Baldree (Tommy) Coursey, Benton, KY; sister-in-law, Bobbie Adams Baldree, Robinson, TX; five grandchildren, Jennifer Burnette (Darren) Gaddis, Ocala, FL, Amy Burnette Barker, Louisville, KY, Rozanna Vancil (Joshua) Goocey, Durham, NC, Francis Taylor (Sarah) Vancil, Dallas, TX and Tommy Vancil, Greensboro, NC; seven great-grandchildrfen, Leah Gaddis, Ethan Gaddis, Meredith Gaddis, Jansen Barker, Kaden Barker, Samuel Goocey and Emma Frances Goocey, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding in death was her husband, Everett Russell Taylor, one daughter, Jeanne Taylor Burnette; parents, Beadles Vibert Baldree & Onye Cleo Otey Baldree; three brothers, J.R. Baldree, I.G. Baldree, Will J. Baldree.
Services will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak First Baptist Church with the Revs. Darren Gaddis, Joshua Goocey, Willis Henson and Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Monday, March 21, 2016 after 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak First Baptist Church.
