Ernestine Gary

Ernestine Gary, age 73, of the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area, formerly of Paducah, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Baylor Scott-White Hospital in Plano, TX.

She was a member of the former Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church and a graduate of Lincoln High School and West Kentucky Vocational - Technical School. She was employed with the Las Colinas Medical Center where she worked in the dietary department.

She is survived by one son, Shawn (Yolanda) Gary of Rockwall, TX; one daughter, Kelly Gary-Wesley of Irving, TX; four grandchildren, Serenti A. Gary of College Station, TX, Symone A. Gary and Shawn J. Gary II, both of Rockwall, TX, and Rodney R. Thomas, Jr. of Irving, TX, three brothers, Huey (Peggy) Gary, Sr. of Paducah, William Gary and Keith Gary, both of Washington, DC.; one sister, Willa (Ronald) Gary-Smith of Paducah; three aunts, Ada, Mary Lee, and Betty; one uncle, Eddie, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest P. Gary and Millie Mann Gary; one sister, Dorothy Mae Patterson and two brothers, Juan Gary and Norman J. Gary.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017, 11:00 am, at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

There will be no visitation.

Inurment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
