Eulala Myre

Eulala Myre, 82, of Paducah died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Myre was a newspaper carrier for The Paducah Sun for 48 years until her retirement. She was awarded the National Newspaper Association Carrier of the Year award in 2002.

Surviving are three sons, Jerry Lynn Myre of Ledbetter, Terry Wayne Myre and David Lee Myre, both of Paducah; two daughters, JoAnn Downs of West Paducah and June Richardson of Melber; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil H. Myre, and one brother. Her parents were Willis Norvel and Lenoria Lucille Stephens.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Altrogge officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at the funeral home.
