Evelyn Draffen

Evelyn Faye Draffen, 72, of Paducah, died Sunday afternoon, May 29th, 2016 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center of Paducah.

Evelyn was a faithful Christian, a lifelong homemaker, and a devoted wife of 55 years to her husband, Jackie.

She is survived by her husband, Jackie; one daughter, Evelyn Sue (Mark) Etherton of Carterville, Il.; one son in law, Robert Patterson of Fayetteville, N.C.; six siblings, James Johnston, Jerry Johnston, Philip Johnston, Vickie Hall, and and Cathy Darnell, all of Metropolis, IL., and Norma Cavitt of Paducah; three grandchildren, Justin and Robert Etherton of Carterville, IL., and Bevan Marcus Petterson of Murray, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Florida Baynes Johnston; one daughter, Judith Ann Patterson; and five siblings, Linda Pennington, Rhonda Peck, Mary Ethel Hornback, Loyd Johnston, and Stevie Allen.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
