Frances Goode

Frances Goode, age 87, died at 4:16 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah. Frances was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church for many years. She sang in the Notes of Joy Choir, was a member of Womens Missionary Union, served on various committees and was chairman for many years of the bereavement meals for the church. Frances was a long time member of Western Baptist Auxiliary and a Kentucky Colonel. Frances was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph High School in Owensboro, KY. Frances drove a bus for the McCracken County Schools for many years in the Lone Oak area.

Survivors include one daughter, Gennie Hammes and husband Joe of Indianapolis, IN; three sons, Ralph Goode and wife, Sandra of Scotsboro, AL, Rickie Goode and wife Denice of Kevil, KY, Ronnie Goode, Paducah, KY; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Willett, Paducah, KY; eleven grandchildren, Ben (Michelle) Goode, Stacy Goode Kirby, Kelley Goode (James) Kahler, Whitney (David)You, Dustin Goode, Eliot (Jessica) Goode, Denver (Gina) Smith, Matt (Jana) Smith, Matthew (Sara) Goode, Bailey (Nathan) Wolfe and Samuel Goode, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Harry Benjamin Goode; parents, Felix Hayden & Ethel Buckman Hayden; two sisters, Sister Mary Mercy, Sister Ethelreda; two brothers William Hayden and Charles Hayden.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Lone Oak First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Summerlin and Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The Goode family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Friends may call on Thursday February 11, 2016 after 9:00 a.m. at the church until service time of 11:00 a.m.
