Franklin Ray Crane, 74, of Paducah, KY, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Franklin was born in McCracken County, KY on August 14, 1942 to Truman and Martha Nell Crane. He had worked as an Operating Engineer with IUOE Local #181. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved horses.
Franklin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Vibbert Crane; his daughters, Cheryl Jane Evans and husband Leo, of Fairdealing, KY, Donna Sue Crane and Darla Jean Crane, both of Paducah, KY; his son, James Allard Hobbs and wife Lisa, of Paducah, KY; his grandchildren, Stephen Lamb, Nathaniel Ryding, Tionna Lavonne Crane, and Kizayah Crane; his great granddaughter, Genevieve Lamb.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Martha Nell Herdon Crane; one daughter, Debbie Crane; one son, Bobby Lynn Crane; his brothers, Rubele Crane, Earl Crane, Truman Willis Crane, and David Lee Crane.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home, with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5-7:00 pm at the Lone Oak Chapel.
