Gary L. Sutton, 69, of Paducah, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Lourdes hospital.
He was of the Church of Christ faith, worked as a civil engineer, a draftsman engineer - office manager with Paducah Water Works, a computer programmer with Hal Brown & Associates Bookkeeping and retired computer programmer analyst with Mead West Vaco, his hobbies were in blacksmithing and wood turning.
Gary is survived by his wife of 50 yrs, Sue K. Hancock Sutton; one daughter, Kim Chumbler and husband Mike of Paducah; one son, Jason L. Sutton and wife Tammy of Paducah; two grandchildren, Christopher L. Chumbler and Carson M. Chumbler; his mother, Doris Darnell Sutton Brown of Paducah; three brothers, James D. Sutton of Paducah, David Sutton of Houston, TX., and Jeffrey Sutton of Lawrenceville, GA.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Mark K. Sutton; his father, James Robert Sutton.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with Brother Bruce Watts and Paul Wingfield officiating.
The Sutton family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
