MAYFIELD, Ky. - Graveside services for Genevieve Shemwell Belote, 89, of Mayfield will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Joe Hansen officiating.
Mrs. Belote died at 11:23 a.m. Saturday at her residence.
She was a former employee of Curlee Clothing Co. and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Trinity-McKendree United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her son, Bernard N. Belote III of Tunica, Miss.; two daughters, Barbara Elliott of Mayfield and Carolyn Bies of Worland, Wyo.; a sister, Earleen Doran of Murray; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard N. (Bill) Belote Jr.; two sisters; and one brother. Her parents were Earl and Tommy Hobert (McNutt) Shemwell.
