MAYFIELD, Ky. - Graveside services for Genevieve Shemwell Belote, 89, of Mayfield will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Joe Hansen officiating.
Mrs. Belote died at 11:23 a.m. Saturday at her residence.
She was a former employee of Curlee Clothing Co. and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Trinity-McKendree United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her son, Bernard N. Belote III of Tunica, Miss.; two daughters, Barbara Elliott of Mayfield and Carolyn Bies of Worland, Wyo.; a sister, Earleen Doran of Murray; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard N. (Bill) Belote Jr.; two sisters; and one brother. Her parents were Earl and Tommy Hobert (McNutt) Shemwell.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 111, Hickory, KY 42051; or Lourdes Hospice, 2855 Jackson St., Suite 5, Paducah, KY 42003.
