Gladys Bowman, 99, of Symsonia died at 6:55 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Lourdes hospital of Paducah.
Mrs. Bowman was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and American Legion Auxiliary of Gilbertsville.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Jerri Camille Coffman of Mayfield; 3 great grandchildren, Aleshia Haley of Symsonia, Ricky Vieitez of Symsonia, Tyler Coffman of Mayfield; 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Bowman; son, Jerry Bowman; one granddaughter, Cathy Vieitez; parents, Erastus LaGore and Mattie Sloan (Collins) LaGore; 4 brothers, 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens of Paducah.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made to Southland Baptist Temple, 927 Yarbro Ln, Paducah, KY 42003.
