Harold Gibson

SYMSONIA, Ky. - Harold Gibson, 68, of Symsonia, Ky., passed away Friday, February 12, 2010, at 6:40 a.m. at his residence.
Mr. Gibson was a native of Bunker Hill, Ill. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Gibson was known in Symsonia as H Gibson Saw Mill, where he was the owner and operator for 50 years. He was a member of the Salt and Light Community Church.
He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Patsy Bowland Gibson; four daughters, Tammy Gibson of Oak Level, Ky., Tessie Wright and husband Donnie of Boaz, Ky., Felicia Watts of Bowling Green, Ky., and Melinda McGuire of Kevil, Ky.; three sisters, Loretta Gibson of Evansville, Ind., Bonnie Preece of Newburg, Ind., and Janette Holley of Booneville, Ind.; two brothers, Roy Gibson and Jimmy Gibson, both of Illinois; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie Gibson and Mable Pearl Gauntt Gibson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Glover officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family today from 5 until 8 p.m. at Keeling Family Funeral Home, 2410 Jackson St., Paducah, KY 42003.
