Harold Sherron

March 11, 1927 — March 27, 2016

Harold "Chicken" Sherron, 89 of Boaz, KY died at 10:49 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2016 at McCracken County Rehab and Nursing. Harold was a long time member of Massac United Methodist Church. He was retired from Jackson Purchase Electric Energy Corporation. He was a member of Lone Oak Lions Club where he served as President and held other offices. Harold served as a leader with the McCracken County 4-H as well as a district officer in 4-H. Harold was very active for years with the Purchase Area Antique Tractor Club. He served as officer in the Mid South Meterman Assoc. and Florida Fly-Wheelers.

Survivors include one son, Ricky Sherron, Boaz, KY; two grandchildren, Mary Sherron, West Paducah, KY, Ricky Ray Sherron, Chicago, IL; three great-grandchildren, Kayla Sherron, Victoria Sherron and Myiah Sherron-Timmons; daughter-in-law, Theresa Sherron, Metropolis, IL; sister-in-law, Wilda Fay Sherron, Metroplis, IL; several neices and nephews.

Preceding in death was his wife, Cora Lee Culp Sherron, two sons, Randy Sherron and Rodney Sherron; parents, Earl Dean & Martha Greenwell Harrison Sherron and two half-brothers, Gaylon Sherron and Alfred Sherron.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Massac United Methodist Church with Rev. John Smithmier officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church,

Expression of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003
