Helen Walls Elkins, 88, of Paducah passed away at 7:00AM Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Morningside of Paducah.
She was a member of Sunny Slope Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for many years and she was retired after 42 years from the Kentucky Highway Department.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Young of Paducah; her son, Ed Walls of West Paducah; her step-children, Delores (Chuck) Hinzman of Boaz, Pat (John) Gravel of Livonia, MI and Harold Elkins of Boaz; her step-daughter-in-law, JoAnn (Darryl) Elkins of Paducah; her grandson, Rusty (Darla) Young of Garner, NC; her special granddaughter, Autumn (Sam) Barlow-Huitt of Paducah, numerous great & great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Johnnie Mae Peeples Snelling; her 1st husband; Pell Walls, her 2nd husband, Paul Elkins; two sisters, Katie Lou Miller and Nell Yancy; three brothers, Paul Snelling, James Snelling and Don Snelling.
Graveside services with burial are scheduled for Monday, July 28, 2014 at 1:00PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Mr. Paul Wingfield officiating. Friends may call after 10:00AM Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
