Services for Hester Lee Jackson, 97, of Paducah will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Dr. Paul Mullikin will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
She died at 2 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the Martha Group. She was retired from the Florsheim Shoe Company.
Survivors include four grandchildren, Cindy Wetherington, Linda Park and Jennifer Ewbank, all of Tampa, Fla., and Jan and husband Kirk Gunn of Annapolis, Md.; seven great-grandchildren, David Wetherington, Matthew Wetherington, Suzanne Park, Michael Park, Andrea Wright, Jessica Ewbank and Kelly Gunn; and four great-great-grandchildren, Isabella Trevino, Megan Peppers, Andrew Wright and Stahseya Wetherington. Other survivors include four nieces, Vana Neel, Patricia Solomon, Bridgette Franks and Tara Herndon; one nephew, Edward Rudolph of Paducah; and three great-nieces, Angie Parmer, Ashlee Bray and Rachel Duggan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Boyd Jackson; her daughter, Betty Jo Matthews; two sisters, Watsaeka Mullinax and Peggy Franks; and one brother, Jesse Rudolph. Her parents were Barnett Rudolph and Juanita Barriger Rudolph Wilson.
Visitation was held at the funeral home from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009.
