James Dodd

James Y. 'Jim' Dodd, age 86, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 1:43 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital. Mr. Dodd was a retired Insurance Agent with Commonwealth Life Insurance Company. He was a member of Central Church of Christ and a former Deacon with Lone Oak Church of Christ. He was past President of Paducah Life Underwriters and was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War.

Mr. Dodd is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth Jean Bondurant Dodd; two sons, James David Dodd and his wife, Rebecca Pendleton Dodd of Paducah, KY, Dwayne Keith Dodd and his wife, Tonya Lacy Dodd of Kevil, KY; five grandchildren, Rachael Dodd, Audrey Dodd, James Michael Dodd, David Hamilton Dodd and Brandon Dodd; brother in law, Harvey Bondurant Jr. of South Fulton, TN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodgers Dodd and Orville Dodd. His parents were, Dick Rodgers Dodd and Georgia Lee Cain Dodd.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Jim Faughn officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
