James E. Dodson, 98, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah. He had worked at the International Shoe Factory was an agent for the Ashland Oil Company and was a delivery driver for the Exxon Oil Company. James was a member of the Margaret Hank Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Paducah/McCracken County Senior Citizens Center. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by his sons, Ronald Wayne Dodson and wife Pat of Paducah, Kentucky and James Daryl Dodson and wife Marjorie Roberts of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; four grandchildren, Marjorie, Travis, Mike and Mark; four great grandchildren, Mitchell, Maria, Mallie and Blake.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bearfield Dodson; two brothers, Leon Puckett and Glen Puckett. His parents were Jasper Dodson and Eva Mae Record Dodson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Chris Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
