James Hawthorne

James Read Hawthorne, 78, of Paducah, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah. Mr. Hawthorne attended First Baptist Church of Paducah, he was co-owner of Hawthorne Properties and Hawthorne Farms with is son and grandson, he was a member of Chief Paduke Gun Club, a Free Mason and Shriner, and he loved to travel America shooting skeet.

Mr. Hawthorne is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Sue Kearney and husband Dr. Robert Kearney of San Diego, CA; grandson, James B. Hawthorne Jr. and wife Miranda of Paducah and their children, Cole Bradley Hawthorne, Hunter Read Hawthorne and Luke Riley Hawthorne; grandchildren, Kelley, Owen, Emmitt, Emily and Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Hawthorne; and a son, James B. Hawthorne. His parents were, Kirker and Helen Read Hawthorne.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
