Services for Jerry Don Sollitto, 62, of Lone Oak will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Roger Thompson and Boyce Helms officiating. Burial will follow.
Mr. Sollitto died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Lourdes hospital.
He was a chemical operator for Air Products Chemical and Celanese Chemical in Calvert City. Mr. Sollitto retired from the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and Murray State University with a bachelor's degree in science and a master's degree. He was a member of PACE Local No. 2-397 and a former teacher at Reidland High School. Mr. Sollitto was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Kara Jane Ross Sollitto; two sons, Philip Ross Sollitto of Nashville, Tenn., and his fiance, Whitney Puckett of Murray, and Michael Anthony Sollitto of Paducah; one brother, Lynn Tilley of Lexington; several cousins; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Mayme Sue Ross of Paducah.
