Jimmie F. Cooper, 84, of Paducah passed from this earth to his eternal life on Monday August 21, 2017 at his residence.
Jimmie was born near Oscar, Ballard County, Kentucky on December 17, 1932. He retired from SKW Alloys in Calvert City, KY where he worked in Industrial Maintenance. He was a Veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War, and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Aloise (Starr) Cooper of Paducah; one daughter, Cindy Driskill (John) of Smithland; two sons, Rodger W. Cooper (Teresa) of London, KY, Steven L. Cooper (Marty) of Paducah; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Gill of Ballard Co., Janice Yancey of Paducah; one brother, Charles A. Cooper (Mahaska) of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Roy Cooper and Sarah Dallice Gordon Cooper.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Leland Hayden officiating. Burial with full Military Rights will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home.
