John James Foreman, 88, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, 6:40 am at Heritage Manor Healthcare Center in Mayfield, KY.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Salem and was retired coal handler with the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was also certified as an auto mechanic and as a masonry bricklayer.
John was a member of Braden Lodge #67, Free & Accepted Masons of the Jurisdiction of Kentucky and Queen Esther Chapter #4, Order of the Eastern Star and other masonic organizations. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the NAACP.
He is survived by Two Sons-Keith Foreman of Paducah, KY and Jeffery Allen of Memphis, TN; Two Daughters, Debbie Blythe and Jacqueline English, both of Paducah, KY; Ten Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren; One Sister, Anna Belle Foreman of Gallatin, TN and Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Foreman and his second wife Tennie Williams, his son, James A. Foreman of Paducah; three brothers, and one sister.
Funeral service will be Saturday, October 31, 12 noon at Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal
Church with Reverend B. Kennedy and Reverend Nigel Foreman officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until the funeral hour. Masonic Rites will begin at 10:00 am.
